  • No tents, pop-ups, canopies or umbrellas.
  • No chairs.
  • No large or framed backpacks.
  • No tailgating in parking lots.
  • No pets (except service animals).
  • No professional cameras (Lenses larger than 2" will not be allowed inside the gates.)
  • No unauthorized vendors allowed!!

The Basics…

The Summer Meltdown is a one day outdoor music and art festival that is held at Central Park in Santa Clarita, CA. The Summer Meltdown is produced by the Yes I Can "Unity Through Music & Education" non-profit organization along with students of all abilities enrolled in the elective class at Canyon High School and their Yes I Can Alumni. The goal of this music festival is to bring the public together to celebrate art and music in a positive socially inclusive setting. The Summer Meltdown will feature musical artists on two main stages along with live painters creating one of a kind art pieces inspired by the music they hear. You will come for the music but leave inspired by the students who plan, prepare and produce this incredible event.

What time does the music start & end?

Gates will open on Saturday April 30, 2016 at 10:30am and will close at 10:00pm

What if it rains … can I get my money back?

Nope, this festival is rain or shine! We are expecting great weather sorry no refunds.

Can I go in and out of the festival grounds throughout the day?

With your festival wristband you will be able to come and go as you please. You will be re-checked by security upon re-entering the festival.

Will the festival sell out?

Possibly. Have you seen the line up?? Tickets are cheap!!! Service Fees are Crazy Low!

What’s up with parking?

There is a limited amount of free parking including ada parking at the festival site. We have reseved a private lot for Front of House parking near the main gates of the festival. FOH can be purcahsed via the ticket link.

Where are the set times?

A few weeks before the festival we will post the stage schedules on our website and our Facebook page.

How is the Summer Meltdown going to deal with all that trash?

The Summer Meltdown is an earth friendly event, we have partnered with the City of Santa Clarita and Burtec Industries to ensure that all trash is picked up, sorted and recycled appropriately.

Can I bring my kids?

Absolutely! We welcome families of all ages. Kids 6 and under are free. Strollers and wagon for carrying the kiddies are permitted.

Can I bring my pop-up tent, umbrellas and chairs and set up camp in the festival?

Unfortunately, no. This blocks the view for other people and everyone deserves the chance to see their favorite artists. Please bring blankets to setup camp.

Will there be food at the festival?

Yep! There will be a bunch of gourmet food trucks on site for the entire day.

Will there be First Aid on site?

Of course.

Will I be able to find Security if needed?

Absolutely. Security will be at the front gate, near the stages and roaming throughout the festival grounds.

I’m a professional photographer. Can I come take pictures?

How can we play at the Summer Meltdown?

Sadly, we are booked for the 2016 festival. To submit a demo for next year, please email blieberman@hartdistrict.org with an EPK.
